We are really going to have to find another house soon.
- I would love to find a place that’s more energy efficient than the place that we are living in now.
I think that our heating and cooling bills are much higher than they probably should be. But of course, I don’t really have much to compare it to since this is the first house that we’ve ever owned. Before we lived here, we lived in an apartment where the heating and cooling bills were included with the monthly rent. I thought that was weird at first but then it was also nice since I didn’t have to worry about paying the bills separately. But now, we have been living in this house for the past couple of years and I have to admit that paying the bills separately is for the birds. I had no idea how much heating and cooling a home would actually cost, but the bills on this house are simply ridiculous. It’s so expensive to pay to run the furnace and the central air conditioning in a large home like this one, especially when the insulation just isn’t what it should be. Anyway, I would really love to find a home with better insulation and better indoor air quality. I would like to find a place with a high efficiency heating and cooling system that would not break the bank every month when I have to pay the bills. Maybe I could find a place with radiant heated flooring and a fireplace. I would love to live in a home with a fireplace!
