When I’m feeling sick, the last thing I want to do is be around other people, and even if I’m not entirely contagious, I hate the idea of spreading our symptoms to others and I become hyper aware of what I’m doing.
If I suppose it’s necessary, I will keep myself at home for the afternoon, just so I don’t spread any unwanted bacteria or viruses.
It irritates myself and others when other people I work with don’t do the same. There’s nothing worse than being stuck in a small office with awful air ventilation, which only makes the spread of airborne illnesses spread faster. This is especially tplot when you work in an office where the Heating and A/C plan is neglected; During our last work meeting, I took it upon myself to bring up the lack of Heating and A/C service, because I was easily determined to stop the spread of airborne illnesses. With Spring right around the corner, I knew everyone would be coughing and sneezing, so I wanted our air quality to be the best that it could be. I started off the meeting by stating that the people I was with and I needed to get a certified Heating and A/C worker out to repair the neglected Heating and A/C equipment, however he would get our plan current and also upgrade the air filter. Everything would be cleaned and sanitized, so the air in our office would be clean and free of airborne illnesses. Thankfully, enough people agreed to have the Heating and A/C device inspected, and a certified Heating and A/C worker will be out next week!
