Working around A/C schedule

For over a year now I have been running a small online community for complex trauma survivors. I’ve been doing my best to build an online presence in addition to attracting people to my community, but it’s difficult when there are a ton of different online platforms to use nowadays. It’s never enough to have a Facebook page and Instagram, you typically have to be on top of the newest social media trends in order to be heard. That’s why, I started recently trying my own hand at podcasting. For the most part, the process has been quite easy, until it comes to the air quality. Because we’re trying to keep the sound pure, we have to record the podcast indoors and rely on indoor ventilation to keep us comfortable for hours at a time. The thermostat has to be at the exact right settings before the podcast starts, or else we’ll be sweating through the entire conversation. Because it’s the middle of summer, this means we are operating our air conditioning units pretty heavily, not only is the cost of operating a central cooling plan quite expensive, but the sound of an AC component is also becoming a massive obstacle. Whenever we’re speaking, we’re trying to drown out background sounds as much as possible. Unfortunately, an old air conditioning unit isn’t considerate about creating background humming in addition to banging as the cooling plan turns on and off. You will notice the air conditioner plan in the background of our podcast. It has entirely forced us to stop recording as soon as cool air starts flowing to the vents, and at this rate, it’s going to take forever to complete a single podcast because we’re entirely working around the a/c schedule.
