My dad came over a couple of weeks ago to help do the maintenance work on the HVAC system in our house.
- He’s really good at doing stuff like that and so he always comes over to help me out.
It’s really great having a dad like that and I’m really thankful for him. There’s no telling how much money he has saved me on plumbing, electrical, and heating and cooling repairs over the years. It’s nice having someone who knows what they are doing to come and help you out with home repairs when you need help. And of course, I have no idea what I’m doing when it comes to doing any sort of home repair job. I definitely didn’t get those handy genes from my dad, that’s for sure. Anyway, my dad was over doing the regularly scheduled maintenance work on the HVAC unit in my house for me. He said that he was just as capable of doing it as the local HVAC company was and so he would rather me save my money than have to pay for an HVAC maintenance call. I always take him out to lunch afterward and so I think that he really just likes to have an excuse to come over and spend some time with me. Like I said, he’s a really good dad. On this particular day, he had forgotten to bring over the air filter for the HVAC system and he asked me to go and get one for him from the local hardware store. I ran out to buy an air filter, but I had no clue which one to get.
