The last thing my husband and I wanted was to be stuck in a dark, cold house with three small children wondering when the power would be restored. Our area is susceptible to powerful storms in both the summer and the winter that can knock out the electricity for days. This would leave us without lighting, refrigeration for our food, no way to cook, and worst of all no way to heat or cool our home. If you share these same concerns then you should contact a local HVAC dealer and see if they install generators. If they don’t then you can probably ask them to recommend someone that they work with to do the job for you. I know that we sleep better at night knowing that our home is protected by one.
