My allergies have always been a factor in my life. They are just so annoying but, I can generally get control them with over the counter medicine. Occasionally, at the height of the pollen season, I will have to go to the doctor for a prescription to reign in the symptoms. That was always such a hassle. I even considered adding a whole house air purifier installed in my HVAC to help but decided against it. Wow, how a perspective can change ever so quickly. Now, our society is dealing with something so unprecedented that many aren’t taking it seriously. Our country is locked in a battle for the lives of its most vulnerable citizens. A virus is among us, invisibly infiltrating our most public and private places. Everything has been turned on end. It has caused me to reconsider my choice not to add an air purifier to my home HVAC system. I realize that viruses are everywhere. But, with the advent of Covid 19, protection and mitigation are at the top of my mind. I don’t think that I am alone in that idea. We are all doing everything that we can do to stop the virus from spreading by making sure we don’t carry it on us. Hence, all the hand washing. It makes me think that an investment in an Ultra Violet air purifier might be an additional shield for our home. A UV air purifier in the HVAC air handler certainly makes sound investment sense in this age.
