How I Stop the Spread of Bacteria and Viruses When Children Are Sick

Like most families with children, sickness has been spreading through our household one child at a time.

As a mother, I’m used to these things and I anticipate it each year.

As soon as one of my children begins feeling drowsy and throwing up, I go into a full blown anti bacteria and virus cleaning mode. I keep all my children separated as much as possible by making them stay in their rooms. I know it sounds torturous, but they’re allowed to watch unlimited TV and they recieve endless room service from their mother, so it could be a lot worse. While my children are in their rooms, I go around the house and sanitize everything. There’s not a surface, piece of clothing or furniture that doesn’t get wiped down with an antibacterial wipe. I also put out two of our air purifiers and replace our air filter. The air filter is self explanatory. I swap it out regardless of how long it’s been in use by our HVAC system, because I want to eliminate any virus or bacteria that may have been trapped in the dirt or pollen within the air filter. I place one air purifier upstairs where all the bedrooms are and one downstairs where we socialize. The air purifier will also eliminate any bacteria or viruses floating around in the air. I’ve been doing this for two years now, and it’s always worked really well. I’m able to prevent my kids from contaminating each other, while also keeping my husband and I safe.
