When my husband died, it was a difficult period in my life.
I suddenly had to take care of the home and the kids on my own, and it was difficult even working with all the grief that was breaking me inside.
I didn’t think I could afford things like the regular HVAC maintenance, so I decided to learn how to do this maintenance on my own. I actually did pretty good work cleaning the HVAC system after I shut the power off to it. I made sure to change the air filters regularly for good air quality in the house, and the kids were doing alright in school. They asked me a lot of questions with different homework assignments, but I could only do so much. It was their father who used to help them out with all those complicated projects and assignments. I have to admit, there were some days when I just felt like screaming at the top of my lungs, but I had to keep myself together for the sake of the children. While I have been taking care of the HVAC maintenance on my own, I might have to enroll in an HVAC service plan or something because I don’t think I can keep this up forever. With an HVAC service plan, I know I will get all the service that is required to keep the HVAC running strong, and it will cost less than calling up the HVAC company here and there like my husband used to do. I’m going to have to figure things out if I’m going to keep my family alive and healthy.
