For as long as I can remember, the AC in my moms car never worked well.
It was always something with that car.
I remember as a kid thinking “why doesn’t she just get a new one?”, but as an adult, I understand why. Cars are very expensive! Sometimes, just having the car paid off is a good enough reason to ride around with no AC. My mom did it for many years. I remember when she actually got it repaired. We got into the car after school one day and realized that the AC was blowing cold air. This was new to me and my sister. We were so excited that our moms car had AC that we started to cheer in the back seat. I am sure that the other parents and kids in the line at school that day thought we had just been told that we were getting a puppy or some other super exciting thing a kid would be stoked on. Nope, we were just happy to not be sweating out butts off on the way home from school that day. I remember that the car shortly needed to be replaced after the AC repair. My mom said she would not go another day in her life in a car without AC. It is just such an inconvenience to know what it is like to have AC, and then have it taken away. I am so happy that my mom decided to replace the AC in her car. I know that it is not a cheap thing to have replaced, but I know that she was so happy with the outcome.
