Need to know more about how HVAC equipment functions in electric cars

Maybe they have a heat strip in it sort of like normal Heating, Ventilation, & A/C equipment in a condo has, or quite possibly a heat pump, although I believe they need to be pretty careful about sapping too much power from the electric batteries.

I actually wish to see what the Heating, Ventilation, & A/C equipment is like nowadays that they put in the newest electric cars. I can easily recall my seasoned Pontiac 6000 from the 90’s & all of the drawbacks it had with its air conditioner equipment. I was essentially always sinking currency into the Heating, Ventilation, & A/C equipment of that car, having to go for compressors & get freon leaks fixed quite often. I bet the new systems in these wonderful electric cars have closed loop systems requiring zero service & not polluting the environment in the least. I have yet to look under the hood of a fully electric car to see what it looks like & how it sounds, or doesn’t sound. I actually wonder how much service an electric engine needs anyways. I would also appreciate seeing how the heating equipment works because the engine doesn’t get nearly hot enough to heat the air sort of like a normal combustion engine does. Maybe they have a heat strip in it sort of like normal Heating, Ventilation, & A/C equipment in a condo has, or quite possibly a heat pump, although I believe they need to be pretty careful about sapping too much power from the electric batteries. It is going to get relatively interesting in a few years with all of the amazing advancements that the automotive industry has made with non combustible engines. At least the Heating, Ventilation, & A/C equipment has improved a huge amount since the days of my seasoned Pontiac 6000. I bet some of these automotive air conditioning service companies will run out of actual work soon if the Heating, Ventilation, & A/C equipment in the cars becomes any more reliable.
