I was in need of some advice, and I needed it quickly.
You see, I have been the owner of a heating and A/C corporation for the past 10 years, and for a long time, my business was incredibly successful and has doubled in size. But now in the last year or so, I noticed I am just not getting the amount of attention my business used to receive. My daughter is quite knowledgeable when it comes to technology, and so I wondered if she had anything to say. She confirmed what I had been thinking, I needed to create an online presence. She told me the fact that I still didn’t have a website, or an online social media page for my business was impressive, because most companies would have gone out of business by now without those two. She knew a thing or two about web building, and she helped me pick out a professional look for my new website. What was next? My daughter then introduced me to PPC, SEO and SEM. Pay per click, was using ads to help draw attention to my website and HVAC business. Google ads also helped here, by only showing my ads to people in my area. It wouldn’t make sense for my HVAC ads to be shown to someone in a different state! Search engine optimization helped narrow down the key words I was going to need in order to bring more customers to my website. I still have a lot to learn, but I think I am off to a great start.
