I remember the day basically like it was yesterday.
- It was a sizzling summer day and I was stuck in school.
I was 10 years seasoned and bored out of my mind. I watched the instructor go over the day’s lesson and I couldn’t help but to let my mind wander. The air conditioner device in the building was working, so despite the heat outside, everybody was nice and cool inside. That lasted for a couple hours but then out of nowhere the air conditioner device died. All the heat from outside started to slowly seep inside. All of us all started heating up quickly and were covered in sweat. The school needed to contact a Heating and A/C professional to come out and look at the cooling device. But the temperatures outside were dangerously sizzling and so school was dismissed early. I loved that as a kid, but even better, the entire week was scorching outside. The school was having a hard time getting the air conditioning device inspected… Something about a shortage of parts needed for the air conditioner device to be repaired. On normal days there was a cool breeze outside, but all that was outside was the constant heat and humidity. Due to the complications the school was closed for an entire week. I loved this and hoped they would never get it repaired. But a week later they had finally gotten out an air conditioner device worker and the school had nice cool air again. When I went back to my classes the air was almost a little bit too frosty for my liking. The temperature difference between the outside and the inside was entirely noticeable. But they said the frosty air kept the mind sharp.
