It’s hard for Melinda to be sick, for one. She just doesn’t like having to lay around with no energy and deal with the symptoms. Melinda also doesn’t like missing work inside the zone controlled HVAC of her office either. Even when she does have to stay down inside the central air conditioning of her beach house when she’s sick, Melinda still tries to work a bit remotely. So when she gets something that won’t go away, that’s when Melinda thinks that she needs to see a physician. Lately, a couple times a year, Melinda gets a cold that lasts several days, but the respiratory effects last for weeks. She’ll have a cough that she just cannot get rid of or something to that effect. And that is what happened earlier this fall. Melinda woke up feeling not so well so she made sure she was tested for covid and it came back negative. Melinda stayed down inside the central air conditioning of her beach house for several days before she felt she could go back to the commercial HVAC of the office. But even when Melinda was back to work, she just didn’t feel like herself and was always dealing with sinus congestion and coughing. Melinda ended up going to the physician. The guy treating her thought most of her problem had to do with the indoor air pollen levels of her home. He recommended the first thing Melinda should do is get the air duct cleaning done. He also recommended that once the air duct cleaning was done that Melinda update her cheap HVAC air filter with a HEPA filter. She did just that and her respiratory symptoms vanished within a day.
