Did you ever imagine how life must have been during the years following the Great Depression? Everyone’s lives were turned upside down & all the people, even those that had been wealthy, were in need of new ways to make money.
By the middle of the 1930’s, several new industries had come about & emplotted people in new factories.
One of those industries that came from those taxing times was the increase in Heating & A/C companies. With the invention of commercial air conditioner there was a high demand for this comfort improving equipment. People were sleepy of sacrificing everything & wanted luxury wherever they could afford it. Many theaters, stores, & even workplaces now invested in air conditioner to attract patrons. A night out in an air conditioned pizzeria, followed by a show at the theater was considered something honestly special. Many people did not have the ability to have this luxury in their home for several years after that, but, with the industrial revolution provided way to that becoming more affordable too. By the mid 1940’s, post war families had money to spend & it became more popular than ever. Today, several can’t imagine that air conditioner was considered such a treat to have; My associate and I just know that all the people has it in their home as a common appliance. My associate and I take several things for granted now that, back on the 30’s & 40’s, people only dreamed of. Between our forms of transferation, the appliances in our homes that can’t imagine living separate from, & even the amount of expendable income we have, we entirely have it better these afternoons.
