I work at home now and I don’t think I ever want to go back to an office setting.

Had someone told me that this would be the case just a few years ago, I would have laughed in their face.

I’ve only had two jobs in my life. They were both in the same industry but with two different companies. The first was right out of college for just a few years before I got this one. This job was quite the upgrade. The office had zone controlled HVAC and I had a thermostat right near my office. I got to travel for business and even had an expense account. Before I started a family, this was just the best life ever. But once you’re a mom, those business trips just mess up everyone’s schedule. Still, I really loved where I worked and the zone controlled HVAC was just heaven. If you have to wear business attire all the time, at least I had wonderful quality heating and air so I was comfortable. Honestly, I couldn’t have imagined working from home. I’d done it a bit after the kids were born and I didn’t care for it at all. I wanted to be back in the zone controlled HVAC of the office. That changed for good once I was forced to figure out working from my own air conditioning during the pandemic. And to my utter astonishment, I was even better at my job in my own air conditioning than I was inside the zone controlled HVAC of work. That’s where I plan to stay as well.

I thought the realtor was just being a bit crazy when she suggested that we replace the heating and cooling equipment prior to putting our house on the market.

By being part of the HVAC service plan, there wasn’t a missed HVAC maintenance appointment because the HVAC company set them. So when the realtor said we needed to replace that HVAC unit, I was just sort of incredulous. Where was the value in that? It was in perfect working condition and had never suffered so much as a hiccup when it came to providing quality heating and air. To her credit, the realtor didn’t relent. Instead, she proved it to me that replacing the HVAC equipment was in our best interest. She produced data from comps in our community and our region to show that new HVAC technology was a top priority for home buyers. Boy was she ever correct. We did spend the money to replace the HVAC unit and we got it back with so much more once we sold the house. Indeed, at least in this region, residential HVAC and HVAC technology add enormous value to the home one is trying to sell.

As if there were not enough things on my to do list, I had to add AC service to the list.

Nobody ever wants to add AC service to their list because it usually means something is wrong.

This is true for my case. I had been meaning to have my AC idea inspected before the summer, although I never got around to it because I was tending to all the other things on my to do list. I rarely spend my savings attention to my AC idea because it’s not something I interact with yearly. My condo is cool because my control equipment settings are programmed and I never have to change the settings unless it’s a scarce occasion. When I realized that my AC idea was making odd noises and the air quality wasn’t as good as it usually is, I was forced to shift my focus. Instead of doing everything else on my to do list, I began working on finding a service for my AC system. The only thing I knew to do was contact the Heating and Air Conditioning contractor about sending someone out. The Heating and Air Conditioning contractor sent an Heating and Air Conditioning professional to my condo within a few afternoons and I explained the concerns I was noticing. The Heating and Air Conditioning professional examined my AC idea in depth and he came back to myself and others with a dirty air filter. According to him, the air filter was long overdue for a replacement and it was causing my AC idea to work harder and less efficiently. The dirty air filter was also the source for the terrible air quality. The Heating and Air Conditioning professional told myself and others that if I hadn’t skipped my tune up in the Spring, I wouldn’t have had this issue.

The HVAC duct was in good condition, however since the condo had been uninhabited for a long time, duct sealing would be inevitable; Never in my wildest dreams would I have imagined that I would own a beach house with my most coveted heating technology system. I couldn’t quite put my finger on it, although I knew something was wrong with my A/C system.

I live in this condo every day, so it’s self-explanatory for myself and others to notice when something feels different.

The temperature of my condo is fairly consistent each day, which is why I was able to notice something wrong in the first place. If I wasn’t at condo so much, I don’t know I would have noticed concerns until it was far too late. I noticed that some rooms were warmer than others in addition to the air pressure was low coming from the air vents. I didn’t want to self evaluate the problem, so I contacted a nice buddy of mine who happens to be an Heating in addition to Air Conditioning professional. I’m blissful I trusted his opinion because the ductless mini split component has taken my new sunroom to the next level

I had been forced to toil from lake condo for over two years. I’m someone who enjoys having their own designated toil space, so when I was told to gather my belongings & toil from my own home, I was not cheerful. I did not have an office space, so I was forced to toil from my family room table or my residing room couch. This was good for a short while, but as the days turned into weeks, I swiftly realized that I wouldn’t be returning anytime soon. As I continued to toil from the table, I found my eyes drifting outside to the deck. I never used the deck due to weather, but I craved getting out of the house. Finally, it dawned on me that I needed to convert my deck into a sunroom that would toil as my temporary office space! I got in touch with a company immediately & he told me that it was completely possible. The only recommendation he had was that I install a ductless mini split unit. I didn’t adore the system of spending more cash for the ductless unit, but the company assured me that it was worth it. I’m blissful I trusted his opinion because the ductless mini split component has taken my new sunroom to the next level. I’m able to use the space so much more because it’s temperature controlled, whereas, I would have never used it if the ductless component wasn’t installed. I’m so cheerful with my new toil space.

In our outdated house, my husband & I had a smart control component that all of us honestly appreciated.

The people I was with and I appreciated the GEO tracking feature, wireless capability, & the ability to make swings to our control component from anywhere at any time.

When all of us sold the home, all of us had to leave the smart control component with the house, but all of us knew that we’d purchase another a single for our new home. It took us a few months to settle in before buying the new smart control unit, but all of us were distraught to install it! My husband installed the previous smart control unit, so all of us thought the process would be the same… Unluckyly, the smart control component wasn’t compatible with our HVAC plan & there was a special attachion that all of us needed to install. This was beyond our capability, so all of us hired a specialist to come install the new smart control component & the additional wire. Unluckyly, after spending over an minute laboring on it, the specialist told us that it wasn’t possible. Our HVAC plan wasn’t comparable & the additional wire wouldn’t help. The specialist told us that the only thing all of us could do was replace the HVAC system. The people I was with and I were severely disappointed, because all of us had been looking forward to our smart control component & now we’d never get to appreciate it in our new house. This was not the news all of us were expecting, so we’re going to get a sixth opinion just to be sure. There has got to be a way for a smart control component to attach, because it just doesn’t seem possible that it wouldn’t.

Hearing the best news from an HVAC tech
