My parents have decided that they are finally going to be putting an addition onto their house.
I keep teasing them about the fact that they are finally doing it after all of these years now that my brother & I are finally grown up.
They say that their whole reason for doing it now is because they want to have extra room for the grandteenagers that they want my brother & I to have with our wives. I think this is just a genuinely crucial hint on their part! The only thing that I’m distraught about for them when it comes to putting on the addition is the fact that they might have some concerns with their heating & cooling method after they get the additional space added on, and everyone knows that whenever you have to heat & cool additional areas in your home, then you’re going to have extra strain on your existing furnace & air conditioner. I think they are talking to a couple of odd Heating, Ventilation & A/C providers to see what their occasions are at this point. They could either put an additional Heating, Ventilation & A/C unit in the home to handle the load of the modern area, or they could try & use the one that they already have. Overworking the existing heating & cooling method is entirely not a great idea, though. From what I’ve read, they may end up paying more in heating & cooling bills just because of the extra strain that the modern space will put on their existing system. I think we’ll just have to wait & see.
