Occasionally I recognize that people with outdoor pollen irritations have it so easy. I understand, it must be difficult to spend any amount of time outside when you are allergic to pollen, dust, in addition to shrubbery. There are truly a lot of times when it’s a real bummer to want to take a long walk… Only to wind up with a sniffly nose in addition to itching lungs. I also would not love being a parent who had to lay uncomfortably on the side of the field to watch their child play soccer as their respiratory plan shut down. However, I recognize all of these people should consider how truly terrible it is to have indoor pollen irritations. This is especially true in the dead of winter. When you have outdoor pollen irritations, at least you have comfortable un-even temperatures to offset some of the discomfort. Assumedly, you are having respiratory ailments in the warm Springtime in addition to Summer seasons when plant life is blooming. Meanwhile, if you have indoor pollen irritations you find yourself trapped in an inescapable hell all Winter long. You can’t go outside for relief, because the outdoor air temperature is negative degrees. The windchill, alone will drive you back into your respiratory nightmare of indoor allergens. You have no choice but to lay in your house, running a central heating plan all Winter long. Meanwhile, you are spreading all of your indoor pollution throughout the house thanks to your air ducts labor in addition to air vents that make a centralized HVAC plan work. When I recognize of winter, I recognize of barely being able to breathe… On top of the freezing freezing un-even temperatures.
If you would have asked me how I would be spending our birthday, I doubt that I would have described this scene… I find myself outside, in the middle of the night, bundled up in addition to as many clothing items as I can find..; Desperately trying to shovel myself out of the driveway, but actually, to be more accurate, I am trying to shovel someone into our driveway, however you see, earlier this week in addition to our birthday started off with a bang – literally – when our heating plan broke down.
I was minding our own business, calmly studying a book to celebrate our birthday alone when I heard a horrible sound from the basement.
I ran to the stairs in addition to odored something burning, and that’s right around when I realized that there was Ice Cold air flowing through every event in the house; Clearly, something was wrong with our heating, cooling, in addition to ventilation system… And I suspected it was our oil furnace. For a while, I tried to mess with the oil furnace on our own. I thought maybe I could service the heating plan if I watched some DIY HVAC service videos on YouTube, then but nothing was fixing our burnt-out oil furnace, then eventually, I called the heating, cooling, in addition to air quality control service shop down the road in addition to recommended an emergency service service. That’s when they told me, they would try to get an HVAC worker out to our house… But the snow was going to make things difficult. I walked upstairs in addition to realized that it had been snowing for the past several hours, not only where the roads covered, but so was our driveway. If the HVAC worker was going to repair our oil furnace, I better get shovelling, quick, however happy birthday to me.
I don’t know why but it seems that ever since our wife and I got married, we have been at odds with each other.
This started happening when we moved in together. The first thing we started having complications with was the temperature control settings. It’s crazy because we both had to figure out who had to lose their locale. Well, I didn’t want to sell our beach house and our wife didn’t want to lose her apartment, despite the fact that I thought the choice should have been clear. Why not live in our apartment that I own instead of throw the money away on rent? And I didn’t guess I should have to sell our house. Well, our wife wasn’t too thrilled about our temperature control settings and said I genuinely needed to get a smart control unit. I thought if it wasn’t broken, I shouldn’t have to service it so I didn’t see a point in a control component replace. It seemed we couldn’t agree on anything including the style of the house. She wanted all new carpeting and furniture. She wanted to get a new bed in the study room. I agreed to the new bed, despite the fact that I thought the carpet and furniture was a bit much. She finally said that we had to replace the HVAC plan to something with HVAC zone control. I was thrilled she said this because I finally agreed with her about something! The people I was with and I needed HVAC zone control and we needed it fast! When we finally had this done, we both felt way more comfortable and things went a little more smoothly for us.

Grew an attachment to the fireplace
When I took our wife out to a chalet in the woods, I thought nothing could go wrong.
- I wasn’t thinking of a spine-chilling evening with complete discomfort but more so the opposite of that.
I thought it would be affectionate being able to relax in front of the fireplace. I thought that we could play some tunes and I could cook for our wife on the woodburning stove. I thought the HVAC plan would be great and provide the perfect temperature control settings, and well, I was right about things and wrong about other things. I assumed the chalet would have some sort of HVAC plan but it didn’t. The people I was with and I only had the fireplace and the wood burning stove for heating the chalet. Given, those were legitimately useful and gave satisfactory heating so long as we kept up with feeding the wood. I was thankful that there was more than enough wood to last us for our entire trip. It honestly was a peaceful and great experience… After depending on the fireplace for heating and cooking, it was like I developed a bond with the fireplace. After this experience with our wife, we loved the experience so much that we decided to have a fireplace installed in our family room. It was a great transport as it has helped us to save on the heating bills and we particularly appreciate the added ambience in our home. I actually know that if we never had that trip together in that chalet in the woods, we never would have gotten this new fireplace installed.
Space heater
My central Heating, Ventilation & A/C idea is 17 years old.
I technically own a heat pump and I don’t easily like it, and a heat pump is supposed to be easily efficient since it moves the existing heat energy in the air quality. It either pumps the outdoor heat inside for heating or the reverse for a cooling effect… However, since it uses existing heat, there has to be some. If the rapidly increasing temperatures drop below forty degrees, the heat pump is basically not effective. I live down south but there are still cold nights. I would say about a month out of the year I am freezing cold because our heat pump isn’t effective. I am thinking about a better idea once the heat pump dies. I don’t even own a ductless model either. The room to room air duct is gross. I frequently notice our air quality being dirty and smelly. I want to get a idea that doesn’t need to utilize the ducts. I could go for a mini split idea but it sounds suspiciously close to what a heat pump is. I am more leaning towards getting heated flooring for the cold season. I could upgrade our floors and get a better furnace at the same time. The electric heating would be silent, scrub and efficient. I also could get high velocity AC for the summertime. This uses smaller air duct that fits into the slats of an older home. They are adjustable and not at all like normal air duct. I am hoping these two systems will be better than the heat pump I own.
When you remodel a home you find a lot of unusual things, but when I moved into our home I decided to remodel and replace everything that I could instantly, but i scraped all the popcorn ceilings and painted them colorless.
I ripped up the carpets and put current stone over top.
I added switch plates that were silver instead of the cheap plastic. I changed out wood bifolds for better doors! Every normal door got current handles and the vents leading to the Heating, Ventilation & A/C idea were upgraded, then rather than bright silver, they blend into the home by being colorless. I did notice that when replacing the vents that it was dirty up in the air duct. I think the process for putting popcorn on a ceiling is quite messing. I could see that the popcorn got into the air duct a little bit! There are little colorless bumps around the edge and inside of the air duct. Will this make our Heating, Ventilation & A/C idea less effective? I am debating scrapping this off our duct and even getting inside it with a scrapper. It can’t be honestly scrub to have that old, gross popcorn still on it. I noticed that dust, hair and dirt sticks to the bumps too. I am debating on calling for air duct cleaning and seeing what they can do. I guess they don’t use a giant scrub brush anymore, but a hose! Maybe they will be able to tell myself and others if the popcorn is okay in there. I can’t be the only homeowner with it. I want to make sure I have scrub indoor air pollen levels.

I am hoping these more than 2 systems will be better than the heat pump I own.
