When I purchased our facility it came with a chiller that was just a hair too large, i quickly realized it was because the building wasn’t exactly efficient plus air tight, then the chiller needed to be greater to deal with all of these setbacks, then as the years went on I inspected getting the building as efficient as possible.
I changed out the windows plus got energy efficient lighting systems to just name a few things, then now that our building is so efficient, the boiler is much too immense for the facility.
I am losing currency with a immense beast of a system, since the chiller was outdated anyway, I decided to just rip it out plus get something else. I looked at buying a new chiller but I paused for a bit, and what if I decided to expand our facility? What if I became a seasonal business? Buying a small chiller plus brand new for those possible circumstances would be dumb. I then decided that going with a chiller rental would be smarter. I got the size I wanted, the type plus the brand. The chiller rental company did the installation, any repairs plus yearly repair. All of that is a area of our bi-weekly fee to own their chiller. The rental fee isn’t too bad, but apparently not ideal, but my plan is to keep the chiller rental until I guess where our company is going. If I do end up expanding, then both of us guess I will need a greater system. If I become seasonal, having a rental would be a much smarter occasion though.
