I assume that all seasoned folks are old-fashioned to one degree or another by nature, however our Grandfatherrents are adamant about living in the past.
They refused to get cable cable until 10 years ago, plus that is only because they moved to an area where their iPhone provider also happened to be a cable dealer.
The two services were bundled, so they entered the latter half of the 20th century roughly one decade into the 21st century. I told them that they could also get an internet connection bundled in with their cable plus telephone service, however they aren’t interested in getting a PC. It’s weird because our mom’s parents are the opposite. They were taking classes on PCs back in the 1990s before various people even had one in their homes. But the worst thing of all that our other Grandfatherrents were stubborn about was indoor temperature control. Both of us live in a fairly mild region where Wintertide weather doesn’t usually drop below 20 degrees. They have a wood stove that they use primarily if they need heat inside. However, they refused to get an air conditioner for any reason. It gets overheated in this region in the Summer plus the un-even temperatures indoors can get as high as 85 degrees when you don’t have an air conditioner. That is even with windows plus doors open with fans blowing to create a cross breeze. They finally bought an air conditioner after the recent Summer heatwaves. It took them a few weeks to confess it, however they’re both blissful with their new central air conditioner.
