The rental fee isn’t too bad, but obviously not ideal

When I bought my facility it came with a chiller that was just a hair too large. I quickly realized it was because the building wasn’t exactly efficient and air tight. The chiller needed to be larger to deal with all of these setbacks. As the years went on I worked on getting the building as efficient as possible. I changed out the windows and got energy efficient lighting systems to just name a few things. Now that my building is so efficient, the boiler is much too large for the facility. I am losing money with a big beast of a system. Since the chiller was old anyway, I decided to just rip it out and get something else. I looked at buying a new chiller but I paused for a bit. What if I decided to expand my facility? What if I became a seasonal business? Buying a small chiller and brand new for those possible circumstances would be dumb. I then decided that going with a chiller rental would be smarter. I got the size I wanted, the style and the brand. The chiller rental business did the installation, any repairs and yearly maintenance. All of that is a part of my monthly fee to own their chiller. The rental fee isn’t too bad, but obviously not ideal. My plan is to keep the chiller rental until I know where my business is going. If I do end up expanding, then I know I will need a bigger system. If I become seasonal, having a rental would be a much smarter option though.

I work for an advocacy association. That means we serve people in an industry, and our particular industry is career education. That is, I work for a company that serves schools who teach skilled labor. Some people might think of them as trade schools or vocational schools. I have always had respect for people who have such skills, and now I have even more. Since the pandemic, I have discovered that our schools really do some amazing things. The nursing students helped on the front lines. The truck driving students got their licenses and kept our products rolling. My favorite, though, is the HVAC schools. The heating and cooling students, as well as the HVAC instructors, did a lot of good during this pandemic. It was even more essential than normal to keep the heating and cooling running well because the hospitals and nursing homes and doctor offices were even more busy than usual. The people were often sicker, too. When you are sick, you need a germ-free environment, and that environment is helped along by good, strong HVAC capabilities. Hospitals always seem cold, right? That is because keeping the a/c thermostat set low helps discourage bacterial and viral growth. A lot of seasoned HVAC workers called on the a/c schools to send in students for real-world training during the pandemic. A lot of the regular a/c technicians were not able to work, so our students took their place and kept the heating and cooling functioning properly. It was very cool, and I was so pleased to see it happening.

When this pandemic hit, was I the only person who was saddened to learn that some people are considered essential and others are not? It seems like we quickly accepted that fact, too. I worked from home quite a lot, so therefore, I was admitting that I was not essential. Yet, there are lots of people who are considered essential that you would never think of. Most people thought the essential workers were doctors, nurses, and police officers. True, they are essential, but there are others, too. Dock workers and truck drivers are essential. Try living without the stuff that is shipped into our ports and delivered by truck if you don’t agree. The others that I always knew are essential are the HVAC workers. Heating and cooling is vital to our comfort and sometimes our health. We have to have good HVAC in our lives in order to be happy and healthy. When we lost power in our state a few years ago, a nursing home did not have air conditioning because they did not have a generator. Many elderly people died of heat exhaustion. They simply weren’t well enough to live without a/c. When I was a kid in school, our school did not have air conditioning, but when I grew up and became a teacher, I needed that air conditioning! One year, the HVAC unit that served our building was broken all year long. It was pure misery teaching without the a/c to help cool those teenage bodies. They were essential then and they are essential now. I never want to live without central heating and cooling.

I know that everyone keeps on saying how much they miss live music these days and I am certainly no exception to that rule.

However, the last time that I was physically at a concert in a crowd of people, the indoor air quality was absolutely terrible. That’s the only thing that I can think of whenever people start complaining about the lack of live music this past year. I just remember going into the venue on a hot day at the end of the summer last year when the temperature was in the nineties. I was excited to get inside of the building and out of the hot sun because I assumed that they would have the air conditioning blowing full blast inside of the building. Imagine my unpleasant surprise when I walked into a stuffy, hot building without a hint of air conditioning blowing through the air! I walked around to a couple of different A/C vents but there wasn’t even any lukewarm air blowing from the A/C vents, much less cold air! I thought that maybe inside the main seating area, the air conditioning would be working, but no such luck there. When we got inside the crowded building with all of the other fans for the concert, it was so hot and sticky that I was absolutely miserable. All I could think about was getting out of there and making it back to my car so I could turn the A/C back on full blast. It was awful.

Ever since I was a kid, I could never seem to find just the right gift for him. I always really want to find him a great gift because I love him so much and I want to show him how much I appreciate him. It’s hard when my love language is actually gifts and I can’t ever seem to find one that makes sense to give to him. He likes to buy things for himself, which really makes it kind of hard for me to get anything meaningful for him. Anyway, this year, I think I have finally come up with something that he is really going to like. He’s been mentioning here and there lately about how he might need to get a new set of gas logs for his gas fireplace for the upcoming fall and winter season. I kind of let this information go in one ear and out the other until I realized that it was almost Father’s Day. Then the other day when I was at his house for lunch, he said something else about how his gas logs were getting old and that he should probably replace them and my ears perked right up! As soon as he said that, I knew exactly what I was going to get him for Father’s Day. I’m going to the HVAC showroom later today to check out the gas fireplace inserts and see what they have available. I’m so excited to get him something that he actually wants and needs as a gift!

For some reason, the office where I go to see my doctor is always freezing cold. And I’m not really someone who exaggerates all that much, either. Whenever I say it’s cold somewhere, then I mean it! The doctor’s office seems like it’s always having trouble of some kind or other with the HVAC equipment in the building. I don’t know which commercial HVAC service they use there, but in my opinion, they should probably change it. I mean, it’s just bad business when you’re trying to run a professional office and your air conditioning system and your heating system is literally always malfunctioning in some way. The last time that I went to the office for a check up, the temperature in the waiting room had to be about 60 degrees. I felt like I could see my breath while I was sitting in there waiting for my name to be called. I noticed that there was an HVAC technician in the back of the office messing around with the thermostat and I could hear the air vents coming on and going off over and over again. Obviously, they were working on something, but they weren’t getting it fixed fast enough. The time before when I was at the office, it was the summertime and the A/C wasn’t working. I feel like there is definitely a pattern here! If your heating won’t work in the winter and your A/C won’t work in the summer, then it’s probably time for you to start looking for a new HVAC company.

My daughter decided to go and work at a tree farm this past winter over the holidays and she really loved it.

• When she first told us that she was going to be working there, I really thought that she would not last through the month.

I mean, she isn’t exactly the kind of tough outdoor girl who seems like she would like to work in the extreme heat and cold. However, she surprised us and ended up sticking it out there for the last six months. I couldn’t believe it, since the weather started cooling down even more here at the beginning of January and it’s been freezing cold ever since. I am ready for it to start heating up, but the temperatures around here are still below freezing in the early mornings when she goes to work. She never really complains about it, though. She says that she really loves the work and that the owners of the tree farm are great with the heating devices that they offer to the workers to help them get warm whenever they can. She says that there are all kinds of little heating huts with portable heating units set up here and there all around the farm. If someone gets too cold while they are outside working, all they have to do is go over to one of these little heating huts and get warmed up before they go back to work again. I like the fact that she doesn’t have to stay out in the freezing cold all day long!

In terms of Heating, Ventilation plus A/C repair I have truly lucked out, but they say you should get your heating plan ran tests on in fall plus the AC in the Springtime, however i got our cooling plan ran tests on the yesterday in February last year, however why is that time significant? It was right before COVID hit.

When it came time for heating service, I managed to time it plus get a deal. The Heating, Ventilation plus A/C corporations were desperate for people to let them into their homes plus trust them not to spread the virus. I got heating repair for a fraction of the cost! Now it is one year later plus COVID is still sort of a concern. I still have managed to sneak in a low cost cooling service. The only snag about the virus is that I would truly prefer to get UV lights installed in our cooling system. I talked about them with our Heating, Ventilation plus A/C professional last year. This year I want the lights however they are apparently all sold out, then all indoor air conditions machine is basically on backorder because people are nuts about the virus. I can’t get a humidifier, dehumidifier, media media air cleaner, HEPA filters or our rare germicidal UV lights. I think prefer clarifying that I only want the lights to stop mold from forming on our cooling coil. I also guess air filter changes are less frequent when you have UV lights. I am not even worried about the spread of COVID, I just want our lights.

By the end of the year, our fiance plus I had enough money to finally purchase a brand modern a/c

Before our fiance plus I moved into our modern home, the two of us negotiated a lake beach house warranty with the sellers! When the inspection report came back plus the two of us saw that the Heating, Ventilation, plus A/C plan was as outdated as it was, the two of us tried asking the seller to pay the closing costs. Unluckyly, they weren’t willing to put any money into the closing costs, but they were willing to supply a a single year lake beach house warranty. It didn’t cost much on their end, but it provided us enough wiggle room to survive. That lake beach house warranty wouldn’t cover any upgradements of the Heating, Ventilation, plus A/C system, but it would cover any repairs that needed done within that a single year mark. Both of us were thankful for the warranty because the two of us didn’t have any money left to upgrade our Heating, Ventilation, plus A/C plan after the two of us purchased the house. During our first summer, our a/c consistently needs attention. Because the two of us were contacting the local Heating, Ventilation, plus A/C company on a proper basis, the Heating, Ventilation, plus A/C professionals began to learn us by name. They were extremely friendly plus they understood that the two of us couldn’t afford to upgrade the air conditioner plan immediately. The Heating, Ventilation, plus A/C professionals also knew about the lake beach house warranty, so they never hesitated to repair our a/c when it broke. By the end of the year, our fiance plus I had enough money to finally purchase a brand modern a/c. Both of us were so thankful for the lake beach house warranty that provided us enough time to save money for a modern A/C system! During that year, the two of us came to appreciate cool air more than the two of us ever had before.

My parents have constantly dreamed about adding a sunroom to the back of their house.

I’ve heard our parents talk about moving and finding a beach home with a sunroom already built, but they didn’t want to leave the home that they’re currently in. My Dad and dad are retiring in a few short months, so our sister and I wanted to do something special for them and add a sunroom. It would be a lengthy process and we wanted it to be a surprise, which meant we had to get them out of the house. My sister and I told our parents that we booked them a trip as a retirement gift, so they left the home for 2 weeks, however during that time a construction crew came out and constructed the sunroom of their dreams. The company told our sister and I that although the sunroom would be pretty, it would need a source of a/c if we wanted our parents to be comfortable in it all year round. She advised that we have the central Heating, Ventilation and A/C system fastened to the sunroom by adding a few air vents that fastened to the existing ductwork. My sister and I didn’t have the time or money to do that, so she advised we install a ductless mini cut system. It was the best way to get a/c that didn’t need to be fastened to the existing ductwork. It was also the cheaper and less time consuming option. We were able to option up the ductless mini system from the hardware store and install it before our parents returned from their trip!
