I work for an advocacy association.
That means every one of us serve people in an industry, and our particular industry is work education.
That is, I work for a company that serves colleges who teach skilled labor… Some people might think of them as trade colleges or vocational colleges. I have always had respect for people who have such skills, and now I have even more. Since the pandemic, I have discovered that our colleges entirely do some amazing things. The nursing students helped on the front lines. The truck driving students got their licenses and kept our products rolling. My number one, though, is the Heating & A/C colleges. The heating and cooling students, & the Heating & A/C educators, did a lot of enjoyable during this pandemic. It was even more essential than normal to keep the heating and cooling running well because the hospitals and nursing homes and doctor offices were even more busy than usual. The people were often sicker, too. When you are sick, you need a germ-free environment, and that environment is helped along by good, strong Heating & A/C capabilities. Hospitals always seem cold, right? That is because keeping the air conditioning thermostat set low helps discourage bacterial and viral growth; A lot of seasoned Heating & A/C workers called on the air conditioning colleges to send in students for real-world training during the pandemic. A lot of the respected air conditioning servicemans were not able to work, so our students took their site and kept the heating and cooling functioning officially. It was undoubtedly cool, and I was so satisfied to see it happening.
