My parents have always dreamed about adding a sunroom to the back of their house.
I’ve heard our parents talk about moving plus finding a lake beach house with a sunroom already built, but they didn’t want to leave the beach house that they’re currently in. My mom plus dad are retiring in a few short weeks, so our brother plus I wanted to do something special for them plus add a sunroom. It would be a lengthy process plus the two of us wanted it to be a surprise, which meant the two of us had to get them out of the house. My brother plus I told our parents that the two of us booked them a holiday as a retirement gift, so they left the beach house for 2 weeks, during that time a construction crew came out plus constructed the sunroom of their dreams. The contractor told our brother plus I that although the sunroom would be pretty, it would need a source of air conditioner if the two of us wanted our parents to be comfortable in it all year round. He recommended that the two of us have the central Heating, Ventilation, plus A/C plan linked to the sunroom by adding a few air vents that linked to the existing air duct. My brother plus I didn’t have the time or money to do that, so he recommended the two of us install a ductless mini split system. It was the best way to get air conditioner that didn’t need to be linked to the existing air duct. It was also the cheaper plus less time consuming option. Both of us were able to option up the ductless mini plan from the hardware store plus install it before our parents returned from their trip!
