These days there are so many different kinds of thermostats to choose from.
And I feel that the best thermostat is a smart thermostat.
The reason i say this and I am sure it was predictable as ever, is the fact that you can control it from virtually anywhere in the world. Not that you would have a need to, but I am just saying. The fact that it is both a programmable thermostat as well as a thermostat that can be controlled by hand using a very special app on either your cell phone and computer also helps you reduce energy use. So if anyone asks me what the best thermostat for your home would be, I will always say the smart thermostat. Also the fact that it is run on batteries makes it so that you do not ever have to worry about your central heating and air conditioning system unit breaking because of a disconnect if you happen to knock the thermostat off the wall in your hallway. If that ever happens and the batteries are good, you will just have to hook it back to the wall. I really love smart thermostats. And the other good thing about them is that regardless that they are very advanced heating and air conditioning technology and do so much, the smart thermostat is a very cheap thing to buy! You can get one for under 50 dollars most of the time. Sometimes even 20 or 30 dollars. And the other good thing is that if you know what you are doing, you can install it yourself.
