Getting older and seeing everyone go downhill can be really depressing.
- I don’t know what happened to everybody in my generation, but it seems like there have been a lot of major back slides among folks of my demographic.
To be fair, we are at that age when people generally have midlife crises. Let me tell you, I can understand how it happens, but I’m glad to have avoided it. Luckily for me, I went into an industry that I actually care about and it gives me life. I don’t feel like I need to change myself, because I’m happy with what I do. As a professional heating, cooling, and ventilation technician I love the job. I never have to wonder about my next paycheck because I am very well compensated for my furnace and AC unit expertise in the heating, cooling, and ventilation field. I never have to be concerned about finding a new HVAC position because there are heating and cooling repair shops all over the country. I also never have to doubt the impact that I make in people’s lives, because I can see the relief on my clients’ faces after I fix their heating, cooling, and ventilation systems. It also helps that I can acquire and install amazing heating and cooling devices thanks to this profession. I easily upgraded my own indoor air temperature control system years ago and I look forward to that indoor air everyday. With a smart thermostat, zone controlled heating and cooling, and radiant heated floors… I’m a happy man. I don’t need a sports car to feel good about myself when I have these amazing HVAC devices.
