When my boyfriend and I lived in an apartment together we bought a bunch of cheap furniture.
We bought a couch that was only a few hundred bucks.
I found a TV stand on the side of the road. We also got our beds at a discount and didn’t spend hardly anything on our cookware. I have realized that since we have upgraded homes and made more money, we still have to keep the same stuff. Our new house looks terrible with all the old furniture. Luckily I saved out on buying a kitchen table. Our apartment just didn’t really have the space. When we moved into our house I knew I would be remodeling the kitchen and wanted a table to work out perfectly. The house then got remodeled and I looked for a table that fit my theme. I looked at all the big home stores and decided I was going to spend a mint on it. I wasn’t going to get something of inferior quality that wouldn’t hold up. I knew my boyfriend would make us keep it forever. So I hunted around and I found that I really liked the work done by a custom furniture builder. I talked to the guy and was able to get exactly what I wanted. From the size, shape of legs, height, material, and final gloss, it was all done the way I wanted it. The table looks so amazing in my house that I want to get all new pieces of furniture. The only complaint I have is how everything looks cheap next to it.
