I think my time as a renter is drawing to a close.
- At least I hope so.
I am finally starting to make some decent money after nearly 7 years worth paying my dues. The idea of building equity and having my own home is a bit thrilling to think about. I am so over how much I spend on rent to put up with a bunch of apartment nonsense. The biggest issue is the HVAC. I just can’t stand it. The apartment I’m living in is pretty expensive. There are some decent amenities and the location is good. But the HVAC just is hideous. Whether it’s heating or cooling, the HVAC just simply doesn’t get it done at all. Sure, when the weather is mild the HVAC is okay. But as soon as it gets cold in the winter, the heating just runs all the time. And, it never feels really warm. Same thing for the summer. Soon as the heat outside gets to be above the mid 80’s, the HVAC cooling just won’t keep up. That means my apartment, which I pay a premium for, is hot and humid much of the summer. This is ridiculous. That’s why I am going to start getting serious about having my own place with my own HVAC. It doesn’t have to be a big house. A nice two bedroom starter house would be super fine and work for my situation. All I want is a new HVAC that fits the house and can deliver the heating and also cooling that most people take for granted.
