I hardly ever come home for lunch, because my business is about 20 minutes away from my house.
- I was meeting with a client on Wednesday and I was only a mile away from the house so I decided to stop.
I thought it would be nice to see the dogs during the day and I thought they would enjoy a half hour of yard time. The dogs were very excited to see me. As soon as I opened the door I saw them. They were panting and excited. it was very warm and the doorway oh, so I closed the front door and I took off my jacket. I walked through the house and it still felt very warm. When I checked the thermostat, I realized that the air conditioner was not working. I had the thermostat temperature set to 72 degrees, but the indoor temperature was 77. The dogs absolutely looked miserable. Their water dish was dry. I gave them a fresh bowl of water with ice cubes and I called the air conditioner repair service. The lady on the phone was very nice and helpful. She had an appointment opening immediately, but I was due back at work shortly. I decided to stay home and cancel everything in the afternoon. I thought the air conditioner was the most important problem at that time. I can’t imagine how hot it would have been in the house, if I had not come home at lunchtime to check on the dogs. My poor dogs would have suffered all afternoon while I was at work.
