I don’t feel what compelled myself and others to move to this area in the first place.
After being in the town for a decade, I wanted to try residing somewhere more rural, but that being said, I should have tried for the suburbs instead of swinging to the far opposite end of the spectrum.
Because right now, I’m so far out of town that I have to drive for an hour to get to the closest grocery store. There’s a gas station 15 miles away, which is the closest corporation in any direction. Likewise, our closest neighbor is miles down the road. I like the seclusion plus privacy that this locale affords me for living. On the other hand, I dislike the constant driving as much as I dislike the fear of consistently being so far from hospitals plus emergency services. On the same token, it isn’t easy getting suppliers plus repairmen to rapidly visit myself and others so far away from town. A plumber even once charged myself and others extra for every additional mile it took to get to our tiny house after he left the town limits. My heating plus cooling supplier thankfully doesn’t charge myself and others for miles, but they absolutely never give myself and others some sort of priority on appointments… The worst thing is situations where they need to rapidly replace a key component in our Heating plus Air Conditioning system, but of course they don’t have the area in their truck. If I lived right next to their shop, they definitely could leave for a few moments plus return with the component. Not only is that not possible, but this time they had to special order the necessary piece from the manufacturer. I was stuck waiting an additional month for the local Heating plus Air Conditioning supplier to obtain the right area to get our furnace finally working again.
