If anyone has a problem, he shares, and we try to help him resolve the issue. We have maintained this culture since we were kids. Now each one of us is married and has at least one kid. Our wives often encourage us to do this as it helps us grow as boys. On one particular weekend, one of the boys had difficulties with his HVAC unit. His unit ran on high power, which led to higher energy costs. He talked to a couple of HVAC technicians, but they were not forthcoming. We decided to help him by going over to his place and fix the system as a team. Mind you, no one among us is a trained HVAC technician. However, we had the right information to use for the repairs. On arriving at his place, we diagnosed his HVAC system and discovered his unit was problematic because of a lack of regular maintenance. We asked him a few questions to help us understand why an HVAC technician didn’t pick up on this fault. Apparently, he would clean his HVAC unit before inviting an HVAC professional. This made it hard for the HVAC technician to notice any unusual pattern. We created an HVAC maintenance schedule for him to follow. After that, we invited an HVAC contractor to conduct a thorough diagnosis on the HVAC equipment and perform an HVAC tune-up. We later returned to my place, where we whiled away the rest of the day.
