All of us spend the months from early November until late April down south. This allows us to avoid the sub zero temperatures and ungodly amount of snow in the north. However, I worry about leaving the lake house empty and unattended. The severity of the weather can cause major concerns. There’s the fear of water pipes freezing and bursting. The furnace installed in the lake house is older and not overly reliable. I decided to have a ductless heat pump installed for peace of mind. Even if the central furnace failed, I knew I could depend on the ductless device to supply adequate heat and prevent sizable disfigure. I should have called 1 of the larger companies that specializes in ductless technology. Instead, I hired a handyman who has handled numerous a/c system and furnace repairs for me in the past. He assured me could respectfully complete the replacement process. Because of his busy schedule, he was unable to tackle the job until late November. At that point, my husband and I were already down south. I flew back in late December for a family event and was excited to check out the new ductless heat pump. I discovered that the handyman had failed to install the indoor air handler in the location I’d chosen. The exterior pipes extending from the air handler to the compressor are a sizable eyesore, however plus, the indoor air handler doesn’t put out any heated or cooled air. It makes noise however doesn’t actually accomplish anything. I called the handyman up and insisted he come back and maintenance all of these complaints. He promised that he would. He never showed up. That was over 6 months ago. I can no longer get him to even answer my calls. I’m going to need to hire a licensed professional to maintenance his mistakes. This project is going to end up costing me a fortune.
