My daughter is only 17 years old and she is already pregnant with her first child.
I am absolutely and utterly disappointed.
I thought she was going to go to college and have a career. Instead, she met a college drop-out and got pregnant 3 months later. I tried to stop the relationship but my daughter saw the boy anyway. I couldn’t do anything about her poor decisions except ground her and take away electronics like the phone, computer, and tablet. When my daughter got pregnant, she told my wife first. She was not truly afraid to tell me about the decision to have a baby. She wanted me to let the boyfriend move into the house with her since they were going to have a baby. I absolutely refused, so my daughter moved to his house with his parents. My wife and I met them a couple of weeks ago. After meeting his parents, my wife and I decided to let the kids move into the garage at our home. There is absolutely no way I want my grandchild living in their house. The garage space needed some work and heat, but it was big enough for the kids. I fixed up the garage and installed a ductless heater. The garage can be very drafty and cold even though the space is enclosed. I never thought I would fix up the space and buy a ductless heater for those two kids, but his parents were a mess. If this kid can survive those people, I’m sure he will make a great father to my grandchild.
