When I was a child, I used to visit our Grandparents all of the time.
I still remember all of the sun filled happy weekends together.
Unfortunately, a particularly giant confrontation happened between our parents & Grandparents, & our parents stopped taking me to see them. It wasn’t until I was an adult, over 10 years later, that I was able to see them again. To be honest, I still hold a slight grudge over our parents bringing me into their fight, however it’s the past now. When I saw our Grandparents again for the first time, I had a lot of mixed feelings. As happy as I was to see them, I was surprised to see how outdated & frail they looked. When I was younger, they still had a good bit of energy & the remainder of youth left. Now they looked so outdated & delicate, it made me concerned for them. My complications only grew when I saw how awful their sites looked. Both our Grandparents seemed embarrassed at the state of their house, however it wasn’t their fault that they were having difficulty taking care of each other. I right away noticed how sizzling & humid the home felt as well, & I got to work. I helped them scrub up the home a bit, & called a Heating & Air Conditioning supplier. The Heating & Air Conditioning supplier sent out a Heating & Air Conditioning worker, & the A/C worker got to work fixing the heating, ventilation, & A/C component. Apparently the cooling system was in particularly awful shape, although I paid for it to be repaired. My heart broke a bit when our Grandparents told me the cooling equipment had been broken for over 2 years. Never again were they going to live in these conditions.
