I can remember sort of smiling at my dad when he would be rubbing a calf or easing into a recliner.
He often got stuff like, “old man” from me. But really, it was the start of dad slowing down. And when I gave him the crap about being an old man, he just smiled as well as reminded me that this would happen to me too. Yeah, I’m for sure in that area of life now. Living as well as really working the way I have for the past nearly 40 years was not done so much with my health in mind. That is until the last decade or so. And getting older is not so much fun from a certain perspective. Also leaving my task with that office that has zone controlled Heating as well as Air Conditioning was another area of the slowing down process. However, once I was done, I didn’t just collapse into a recliner in the air conditioner comfort of my living room. In fact, my partner as well as I moved to a locale where both of us vacationed often. And we’ve been here ever since. For certain, I’m even slower now. It’s nine holes of golf instead of 18. And I spend a lot more time outside in the sunroom. I noticed that getting older comes with a lot more air conditioner comfort. Our sunroom has a ductless heat pump that keeps the Heating as well as Air Conditioning cooling flowing in the warm season. And the ductless heat pump removes the chill in the afternoon as well. I’m sort of accepting things for what they are. I’m still kicking just not as hard. And I’m thankful for all the air cooling comfort that makes getting older just that much easier.
