Had we been using those air filters earlier, we would not be purchasing a new air conditioning unit
After my husband and I got married and bought a house, the first thing he did was to buy a dog. I expected him to come home with a small dog that my father would’ve called an ankle biter. What we ended up with was a full-size pitbull that he had rescued from a shelter. The dog seemed to be a bit skittish, but he listened well, and he was housetrained. The only thing our dog was not house trained for, was how to keep his dander from the air. It didn’t take long for me to realize that with a dog in the house, we were going to have to change the air filters more often. When my husband came home with the second and third dog with the excuse that Buff needed friends, I was not happy. Buff seemed to be quite happy with just us. Two weeks later I had to call the HVAC company. With three dogs in the house, our air conditioning unit was unable to keep up with all the dog hair and dander. The HVAC Tech told us about the new air filters that were made just for families with pets. It was able to filter out more pet dander, and more hair, which would have probably ended up in our AC unit. Had we been using those air filters earlier, we would not be purchasing a new air conditioning unit. I looked at my husband and told him I guess we all need to live and learn. If he brought any more dogs home, I told him he was going to be living without me.
