Some friends of mine came to visit.
When they showed up, they were in a travel trailer.
The entire travel trailer was much bigger than my living room, but they insisted on staying in it while visiting. The first thing they did when they got out of the trailer, was to place a large tarp over top. When I asked them why they were draping the trailer, her boyfriend told me that that was their insulation. Where I live, nighttime temperatures during the winter can get down to well below zero. I didn’t think a little tarp was going to help keep the heat inside the trailer. When my friend told me they didn’t have good heating inside, and they relied on an electric space heater to keep them warm, I was upset. I thought it was ridiculous that she was staying in a trailer with only an electric space heater to keep her warm, and a tarp to keep the heat from going out of the trailer. I told her that if she and her boyfriend didn’t want to come inside where we have an excellent heating system, then they should leave. I couldn’t see her staying out in that trailer and freezing to death when I had a furnace and spare bedroom for them to stay in. After telling her boyfriend what I said, I saw him taking a tarp off the top of the trailer. She came in and gave me a hug, and told me that he preferred to stay in the trailer but they would move it so I wouldn’t have to see.
