When you buy a house, there are a series of checks and balances to make sure you get what you spend money for. There is a real estate agent, loan agents, insurance agents, and everyone has paperwork to ensure everything is perfect, but however, when you buy a condo at an auction, all bet are off, but you might get a piece of property for a few hundred bucks, and who knows what you might find there? But there are no checks and balances, and once you spend money the money you own it no matter what the condition is. I knew it was a crapshoot when I bought the old house, however truthfully aside from the lack of an Heating and A/C system the locale is in fine shape. The greatest concerns with these old houses are the plumbing and the weather conditions control systems. If the pipes are bad, then the locale might be too much trouble to bother fixing up, however the same is not tploy of the weather conditions control system. I have come to expect that the older locales will either have no central Heating and A/C system at all, or have one so old it has to be detachd and upgraded, compared to the logistical nightmare of replacing all the pipes, replacing a central Heating and A/C system is relatively simple. I don’t even bother looking at the central Heating and A/C system before I buy a locale, because I just feel that it isn’t any good. If a condo is a great investment, then paying a few grand for a up-to-date weather conditions control system is not a major expense.
