I guess our mother provided up at some point when she tried to train our siblings and I to wash by our nature.
She argued with us consistently about things as trivial as keeping our rooms clean and tidy.
I recall her trying to meet us halfway eventually and asking us to simply keep our rooms somewhat neat even if every one of us weren’t going to do heavy cleaning each week. She just wanted to observe that our floors weren’t covered in dirty clothing, books, CDs, pieces of paper from middle school, and toys. Although as every one of us got older, every one of us was given more work to follow love, respected vacuuming and carpet cleaning at least twice a year as every single one of us had pets that occasionally had accidents on the floor. My mom also wanted us to respect the importance of decreasing the Heating, Ventilation and A/C filters on a respected basis. She fought with asthma her entire life and making sure every one of us had a wash filter in the modern cooling system every multiple weeks was an essential area of her preventive measures in regards to her respiratory health. She had us trade off the task between siblings, however as I now live alone I’m lazy and inconsistent with our Heating, Ventilation and A/C filter alterations. Occasionally I do it within the 3 month time span recommended for people with good respiratory health, however there have been times where I let it go for at least seven months at a time. When this happens, the air flow going into the cooling system is restricted and it begins to put wear and tear on your a/c. Maybe you aren’t distraught about this if you rent, but it’s an extreme issue if you’re responsible for fixing or replacing your heating and cooling setup.
