Getting into the property owner corporation was something that I chose to do after I was lucky to get a buyout from the corporation I work for.
They offered myself and others full retirement less 8 percent if I left about 5 years early.
That was the simple decision I ever made inside the zone controlled Heating, Ventilation & A/C of that venue. I said yes before they could get the offer all the way out. I enjoyed our job but I was also actually ready to do something else. Owning properties & renting them out was something that I had consistently wanted to do. So once I was out of the zone controlled Heating, Ventilation & A/C of the office, I started learning about owning rental properties. I honestly even took a class or 2. It was the financing & the legal stuff that I actually wanted to be sure that I had down pat. The ability to work on the homes & be that sort of property owner wasn’t a problem. I’ve consistently enjoyed lake beach house projects. My husband & I have turned our lake beach house into just the perfect spot by doing those projects together. She was right there with myself and others in this rental property thing as well. We’re a team. But the first beach house the two of us bought, fixed up & rented out hit a sizable snag right at a deadline. The Heating, Ventilation & A/C corporation was out to upgrade the central air conditioner just a week before our first tenant was to transfer in. But it turned out the ductwork was shot. The Heating, Ventilation & A/C supplier was quick thinking though & kept us on deadline as well as on budget with the ductless multi cut method the two of us installed.
