My friends and I went to a UFC fight.
We scored tickets from the radio station, so we had enough money to get a hotel room at the venue.
My friends and I picked a cheap hotel room, but it was only 2 miles away from the Event Center. We could have walked on a clear and comfortable day, but it happened to be raining that night so we took an Uber to our destination. The Uber worked out well, because my friends and I drank a lot at the fight and we were in no shape to walk or drive home at the end of the night. We took an Uber back to our hotel as well. The fees were twice as high, because lots of people were using the service and it was peak hours. My friends and I paid $12 to take a trip to the event center, but we paid $37 to get home. Our hotel room was on the 5th floor. We were right next to the ice machine. I heard people all night long getting ice. The walls were paper-thin. The only good thing about the hotel room was that air conditioner. My friends and I turned the air conditioner all the way down to the lowest setting so it would be freezing cold when we came back to the hotel after the fight. Stepping into our hotel room felt like stepping into a walk-in cooler. The air conditioner worked well. After all of the events from the day, my friends and I were ready to lay down on the bed and go to sleep.
