I’ve been a lot busier in the past month than normal.
My sister has been planning her wedding for a year now and we’re finally getting the preparations in place at our parents’ estate. There’s a massive backyard with a lake, so it’s hard to find a better location when this one is free. While I didn’t initially intend to take this much of an active role in my sister’s wedding preparations, I have been coerced into helping more because my sister isn’t getting nearly as much help from her fiance as she had initially hoped. That’s a red flag in my book, but I have to keep my mouth shut so I don’t upset my sister inadvertently. The last thing she needs right now is more stress on top of the existing stress eating her alive. One thing we’re worried about with this late summer wedding is the weather. We get a lot of late summer rain showers and the ceremony is supposed to take place outside. I told my sister that she should plan on having a covered area created with a rentable tent just in case the weather ends up being the worst case scenario. But it’s not just the weather that has us worried. Right now the allergen levels outside are through the roof. The dust and dander levels are labeled “extreme” while the mold and pollen levels are all at “high.” I knew it was bad when my brand new air purifier filter got clogged in a matter of weeks when it usually takes three months to get this dirty. I used my vacuum to get the dust and dirt out so I wouldn’t have to buy a brand new air purifier filter. The HEPA filters for these air purifiers are $30 to $40 depending on where I buy them.
