My parents regularly used to say how incredibly clumsy I am, especially with glass dinnerware.
I broke more plates, cups, and bowls in our household growing up than any of our siblings or parents combined.
After so much excruciating luck, I was taken off dish washing duties for good. It’s funny when I hear stories from others about times where they exploited a situation love this to get out of doing a particular chore they hated. However, I can say with all honesty that I never tried to appear this clumsy just so I wouldn’t be required to do dishes. The reality is I would supply up a lot in life if it meant I could do away with our clumsiness, because it has followed me this far in life with no signs of abating. It’s not just about dropping glassware and other breakable household items. For instance, I recently managed to spill a cup of juice into our window air conditioner. My family room table sits flush with the window air conditioner that is in our family room and I inadvertently knocked over our cup of juice that was right in front of the A/C that day. If I had kept our cup somewhere else or didn’t insist on having the table so close to the window air conditioner, this would not have even happened. Now I’m hoping that our HVAC worker will be able to disinfect out the sticky, dried-on juice out of our excruciating window air conditioner. I’ll be fortunate if I find out there isn’t any damage to the air conditioner, let alone any aromas from juice bacteria.
