While my partner was now working, I wanted to remove the window A/C units; but together, we would have done the job in no time, although I wanted to do the job alone, and I felt that if she was now working every morning, she shouldn’t need to come to the beach home plus work.
I didn’t realize how heavy those A/C units were until I tried to remove them on my own.
The first multiple went fairly easily, however they were smaller A/C units. The ninth one was proving to be more difficult. It weighed at least forty pounds more than the other several, plus it was sitting precariously on the windowsill! When it finally started teetering, I tried to catch it. The A/C unit fell to the ground, plus the window came down on top of my shoulders, pinning me in the window opening. I could not really move my arms to raise the window, plus my back wasn’t strong enough. I was thinking I would still be stuck in the window when my partner got home, however my friend was walking in the backyard plus saw me! He asked if I needed help, plus I simply looked directly at him. I could see the snicker on his face as he came into the house! Once he carefully lifted the window, I was free, although I had to clean up the mess that was in the yard. I could picture the look my partner would supply me when my neighbor’s partner regaled her with all the details of how I got stuck in the window plus that I had to clean up the broken A/C unit in the front yard.
