The heating and air conditioner company in my area was holding a contest to win a free heating and A/C system. I live in the south so the heating and a/cs are combined in some of the Heating and A/C units that they had on display that they announced that you could win were actually nice. You even have the opportunity for numerous entries to increase your odds of winning. The idea they had in location was pretty easy, you got 1 free sign up for your first entry! Every entry after that you got for buying 1 Heating and A/C product. I was able to get three entries into the contest that afternoon because I purchased a disposable air filter, and a window air conditioner component that I have been needing for some time. The contest was due to end in 1 week. That month came and went entirely quickly and before I knew it they were announcing the winner of the contest. Imagine my shock when I got a phone call saying that I had 1. There were 3,000 people in that contest and I never imagined that I would absolutely win! Because I had three entries I had a 3 in 3,000 opportunity to win. I guess this month was my fortunate afternoon. I got asked to come down to the heat and A/C company to choice out what brand up-to-date Heating and A/C component I wanted. The contest not only ended well for myself and others it ended well for the heating and A/C company too, they had an uptick in shoppers because of the contest and so they started doing it every year.
