Advertisements don’t always work.

I was talking to a friend of mine, who creates social media ads for an online advertising company! I was telling him I was having a hard time with customer acquisition! He said our website looked wonderful and had plenty of information, however I needed a better landing site.

He said that sometimes, offering something as simple as an article about how a customer can complete their own service, will help draw a customer to our business, however at the least, they’ll get the free information, and hopefully sign up for more information.

He knew some companies that provided a free inspection of the Heating and Air Conditioning equipment, depending on the season. He also provided to put some social media ads in for me, although he cautioned they don’t always work. Many people will look at the ad and pass it over. If I got one customer out of every hundred who clicked on the ad, I would entirely keep that customer. Most people will look at the website and click right back out, this was called spend our money per click, and it was a way of advertising. I wasn’t interested in those types of online ads. I wanted something that would lead people to our website and keep them interested, however when he provided to overhaul our website, I couldn’t have been happier. After he was done, he said it was a wonderful thing he had overhauled the Heating and Air Conditioning company website! Keywords were nearly non-existent on the Heating and Air Conditioning website, and if they were there, it was entirely accidental. He added a landing page, keywords and implemented social media ads for me. I thought he was kidding when he handed me a bill. He said to be happy because it was a quarter of what he charged his other customers.
