Signs that your HVAC system may need to be replaced

I used to reside in a condo that I was renting from my owner a few years back.

It was a stunning 2-bedroom condo on the fourth story of the building that looked out over a fountain that was lit up at night.

My favorite thing to do at the end of a long day was to relax and gaze out my kitchen window at the magnificent fountain, the setting sun, and the stars. To be completely honest, I really miss that house, but I was forced to move since my landlord refused to spend money on a new HVAC system. Every two weeks, throughout the last year I lived in the condo, the unit would malfunction, costing her money in repair costs. According to the heating and air conditioning technician, the unit needed to be replaced because it was leaking refrigerant. But because my owner did not want to buy a new one, the technician would occasionally refill it. I saw that my energy cost was rising in addition to the leak. It began as a slow rise, but eventually increased far more than I was accustomed to. The heating and air conditioning unit was obviously an older model, so I concluded that it had long since passed its prime. Not to mention, it occasionally made a lot of strange noises. The Heating and Air Conditioning unit was failing and required replacement as a result of all these issues and malfunctions. However, my landlord refused to purchase a new unit, so I was forced to leave the condo finally. I guess I made the right choice, yet I still long for that lovely place.
