Added a dual fuel system when doing home improvement

When my wife and I bought our home, we needed to handle many home improvement projects.

We had an idea of how to go about them, but some cases, like a/c installs, were a bit complex, and we needed help.

Initially, the home had a gas furnace, but we decided to upgrade from that to an electric air conditioning system. Our a/c rep advised us to buy a dual fuel system with the highest SEER ratings for our home, allowing us to use electricity and gas depending on the climatic conditions. The rating on the unit would also allow us to save more energy. The a/c workman also informed us that with the dual system, we’d not need to buy additional cooling products because when it’s summer, it will remove hot air from the house, which cools the space effectively. The only downside was how expensive the quality HVAC equipment that met our preferred features was. We’d also need to invest in a/c care since the components of the dual unit are outdoors, exposing them to easy wear and tear. But that’s not a problem because maintenance means we’d eventually avoid unexpected expensive a/c repairs. Lucky for us, the closest air conditioning company had everything we needed to buy, and the air purification expert we were working with was based there. The entire process taught us so much about HVAC that we still laugh at how little we knew before. My wife says she’s still fascinated by the idea of using a washable filer and that we should try it, but I’m reluctant because it seems to have more cons than the non-reusable air conditioning filter. Only time will tell how adventurous we can get.
