She asked how much I was paying
My sibling brought her new vehicle to the house. She had just turned sixteen and mom and dad got her a burner vehicle until she learned how to drive. She was so proud of that little red car, that she could not stop smiling. She asked if I wanted to go for a ride with her. I hopped into the car, and suddenly realized there was no air conditioning. It was eighty-two outside, and she had black interior. The interior had soaked up the heat of the afternoon, and the vinyl was burning my legs. I reached for the air conditioning, and she told me there was nothing there. The only problem with the vehicle was that the air conditioning didn’t work. I asked her if mom and dad were planning on fixing the air conditioning. She wasn’t sure, but she hoped they would. She didn’t want to go through a long summer time without air conditioning, but she wasn’t going to give up the car, either. I told her I would have the air conditioning installed, if she helped me out through the summer. My babysitter quit, and I needed someone for three days a week to rest with my four-year-old daughter. She was happy because she loved my daughter, and my child loved her. She asked how much I was paying. She thought I was kidding when I told her she would get a new air conditioning unit, but she didn’t complain. She knew I would give her enough money to put gas in her car, and not just buy her a new Heating and A/C system.
