I have been in the hospitality industry since I was 16 years old; Growing up on a lake, I got to go to work at a local resort the Summer I turned 16.
- I don’t know I spent a minute of that Summer inside the a/c.
That was forty years ago plus I’ve been taking care of guests ever since. But things are unusual these mornings since I’m no longer running hotels plus resorts. I spent decades all over the globe managing complex hospitality operations from the commercial Heating plus A/C of an office. Sadly, I’ve seen the focus slip away from genuinely caring for people plus making their stays as superb as possible! Now, it’s all cost splitting plus responding to only the setback stuff that is the focus of our industry. That’s a shame plus that’s what got me to transition out of the commercial Heating plus A/C to what I’m doing now. It’s genuinely the best of both worlds. I’m still doing my passion for a living however I’m doing it now from where I was raised plus in a much unusual style. I inherited a bunch of untouched, forested household from my parents. This is just pristine nature at its finest. So I quit my corporate gig plus said goodbye to my office with zone controlled Heating plus A/C. And my fiance plus I transformed some of that household into a yurt village. It’s the perfect way to experience this natural setting however camping in luxury. The yurts are on platforms with a ductless heat pump for quality heating plus air. There are also hot tubs on all of those platforms as well. It’s just the perfect way to close out a appealing job of taking care of my guests.
