It seems like my pal and I have commercials on TV and in the paper all the time now for Heating, Ventilation, and A/C companies.
I never absolutely noticed them before however for some reason this year they just seem to be in excess.
Each one is offering a unusual deal when it comes to tuning up your system or replacing it before the upcoming winter and they got me thinking about ours that is over 20 years old. I spoke to my fiance and ask him if my pal and I should look into possibly replacing the boiler in the basement because I was sure that it was an inefficient way to heat after all these years. He decided to contact a local contractor and see what other possibilities were available to us. When my pal and I had purchased the boiler all those years ago it was one of the most efficient ones on the market so I was hopeful that he was still a better choice because I didn’t want to spend the extra money on a current system. The salesman that came out to the house took a look at everything and in fact confirmed that our boiler was still toiling fine. He did request that my pal and I updated part of the exhaust pipe because he noticed that head corroded and had small holes in it which could lead to carbon monoxide poisoning. I was glad that my pal and I had the system looked at and I was very glad that used the exhaust pipe when they did because that could have been disastrous. Systems like the one my pal and I have require little maintenance and are normally very efficient. It never hurts to have an assessment done of your property though to make sure that you are saving as much money as possible on your energy bills.
