I was beginning to find it very boring, sitting at home and doing nothing but working all the time.
I thought it was okay to be able to work from home when the pandemic started.
That was months ago, the weather is turning nicer and I wanted something more to do than work. I was looking around the backyard and thinking how nice a small garden would be. I knew it would take a lot of work to get a part of this yard turned into a garden, but I was up to. As I took the hoe from the shed to pull up the sod, I started thinking about what I wanted to plant. I noticed that I had all the sod up off an area that was 5’X8’. I knew it was getting warm so I went inside, put on cleaner and cooler clothing, before heading to town. I wanted to get some seeds and fertilizer. I also wanted some air conditioning. It was nice in the house because of the air conditioning, but I also knew the store had it. As I drove to the home center, I wondered if there was an outdoor portable air conditioner I could use while planting and fertilizing. I talked to the man at the home center and voiced my question about outdoor air conditioning. He told me it would be best to get a standing fan and put it on the porch. It would help some, but not totally. He also led me to the seed section. I chose to put herbs in my garden this year, but next year, I would have a vegetable garden.
